Welcome to Jerboa-Redcap Books, owned by Frank and Maureen Shaw. We started the business in 1986, a specialist British and Commonwealth military book dealer, and can offer a wide variety of new and used books covering British naval, military, aviation and general British history. We also carry an extensive line of British Army cap badges, Divisional patches and World War II campaign stars (medals).

Where did our name come from? Looking for a unique and eye-catching name, I came up with Jerboa-Redcap Books since I served in the 7th Armoured Brigade Provost Company Royal Military Police and the divisional sign is the red Jerboa (desert rat), made famous by the division in World War Two. The Redcap was added to the name because all Royal Military Police wear red caps and are universally known in the British Army as "Redcaps" and worse.
